Verrucae’s belong to the wart family and most commonly occur on the soles of feet, around toes and toenails. These lesions are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, which is highly contagious. A cluster of verrucae’s can be common and spread over an area of skin. Verrucae’s do not usually cause you any harm, but some people find them itchy, painful or embarrassing.
If you’re not sure if you have a verrucae, consult your chiropodist/podiatrist for diagnosis and treatment options.
