General Nail Care
General nail care is required when nails are particularly difficult to deal with and present with conditions such as:
Onychomycosis: Fungal infection of the nail
Onychogryphosis: General thickening of the nail, more often on one side causing it to appear like its nick name ‘Ram’s horn’. It can occur due to trauma to the nail bed resulting mainly from accidents, fungal infection, Psoriasis and Peripheral arterial disease.
Those with diabetes and other circulatory issues should always have their nails looked after by a professional.
It may be that simply being unable to see or reach one’s feet will require our care and to help to prevent issues such as ingrowing toenails, and conditions already mentioned.
