𝟏. Don’t scratch at your verrucae as it is more likely to spread.

𝟐. Wear flipflops or sandals in communal areas e.g. showers, swimming pools, changing rooms, to reduce contamination or infection.

𝟑. Keep your verrucae covered to stop it from spreading. Less oxygen to the affected area will also lessen chances of it getting bigger.

𝟒. Maintain a treatment regime so that if you require help from your chiropodist/podiatrist you’ll know which steps to take next.

𝟓. Always wash your hands after treating a verrucae at home.

𝟔. If your verrucae gets bigger or becomes painful, regardless of treatment at home, it may be time to seek help.
